Policy, advocacy, and insurance reinbursement with occupational therapy individual and group Tx
A broader perspective on occupational therapy's role in advocacy and working within the practice framework. Clarice discusses her mission to empower clinicians to be the change they want to see in healthcare. She advocates and educates Occupational Therapy Practitioners (OTPs) so that they gain a greater understanding of our value and the opportunities that presently exist within healthcare, especially with value-based care. She further explains the goals of Amplify OT in advocating for our profession and increasing the competence level of OTPs skills through courses, resources, and community. Group therapy, wellness, and a preventive model are touched upon. She will be providing a 5-week course on Medicare, health insurance, and reimbursement in the future. Clarice and Amplify OT help to address the confusion and frustrations related to supervision, policy, and best practices with a busy schedule from an OT perspective. She’s enjoying and is passionate about her new role as a leader and advocate for occupational therapy.
