This episode takes the reader on a cancer journey using journaling to support their health and wellbeing. Heidi shares her journey after her cancer diagnosis and how she found her voice through journaling during her cancer diagnosis.

A cancer diagnosis can turn life upside down in an instant. It often brings feelings of shock, uncertainty, fear, and overwhelm. As both an occupational therapist and cancer survivor, I experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to process the emotional weight of a diagnosis while managing appointments, treatments, and daily life.
During my own journey, there were times when I felt frozen and unable to make sense of what was happening. One simple tool that helped me navigate those moments was journaling. Putting pen to paper created a safe space to express emotions, organize thoughts, and process experiences that often felt too heavy to carry alone.
Journaling doesn't require special skills or perfect words. It offers a simple and accessible way to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself during a time when so much feels out of your control. For many individuals facing cancer, writing can become a powerful tool for emotional healing, self-discovery, and finding hope along the journey.
That is why I am passionate about creating opportunities for others to share their stories, honor their experiences, and discover the healing power of writing—one page at a time.  Stay tuned for the upcoming 52- week journal journey.  Follow her blogs to find out when it begins this summer.
